The Niagara Frontier Transit Authority said one of its Metro Rail maintenance employees has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
In a statement, the NFTA said the worker became ill during a vacation, and was last on the job in the Metro Rail yard shop on March 6.
The employee, who was not "customer-facing," is recovering well and has been in self-quarantine since March 14.
The NFTA has informed the Erie County Department of Health and is following "all appropriate protocols."
