An Orchard Park man has pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter in connection with the death of his 70-year-old father last year.Sean Keenan, 22, was originally charged with second-degree murder in the beating and stabbing death of his father, John Keenan, on July 7, 2014. Keenan's body was discovered in his Orchard Park home on Hillsboro Drive after police were called to the residence to check on his welfare.
The younger Keenan was taken into custody while trying to enter Canada at the Rainbow Bridge using his father's passport. He had shaved the front portion of his hair in apparent attempt to look more like his father.
He was also charged with second-degree assault and attempted first-degree escape after fighting with Orchard Park police after being taken into custody.
Sentencing in the case will be May 20. Keenan faces from 15 to 25 years in prison.
