The Bills take on the Eagles in Philadelphia Sunday with Buffalo's playoff hopes hanging in the balance and running back LeSean McCoy returning to face the team that traded him away.
The Bills need a win to have any chance of securing a wild card spot in the AFC. Football analyst Matt Sabuda says the Kansas City Chiefs are likely to get one of the wild card berths based on their "tiebreakers and their ridiculously easy remaining schedule." Sabuda says the Jets, Steelers and Bills are all vying for the remaining spot.
"The Bills could have the upper hand on the Jets because despite New York being one game up, the Bills do hold the tiebreaker and still get to play the Jets in Orchard Park in the final game of the season. As for the Steelers, they play one of the toughest remaining schedules over the last four games. If they lose this week on the road, against the first place 10-2 Bengals, the Bills would secure the tiebreaker over Pittsburgh, as well. All of this is contingent upon the Bills finishing either 4-0 or 3-1 on the remaining games."
Sunday's game will also be the first time McCoy returns to Philadelphia to face the Eagles and coach who traded him away last offseason, a story that Sabuda says has been making NFL headlines all week.
"This was no ordinary breakup," says Sabuda. "After McCoy was dealt to the Bills for Linebacker Kiko Alonso, who's really struggled this season in Philadelphia by the way, McCoy just exploded to the media and basically accused Eagles Coach Chip Kelly of being a racist when it came to roster decisions."
Sabuda is also looking forward to see how quarterback Tyrod Taylor plays this weekend following last week's win over the Houston Texans.
