Beyond the Playbook: Bills prepare for Pats on Monday night

Injuries are mounting for the New England Patriots, the Bills opponent this Monday. But as analyst Matt Sabuda points out, as long as quarterback Tom Brady is healthy, the Patriots will remain a formidable foe.

"I probably don't need to get too much into discussing Buffalo's futility against the Brady-led Patriots other than to say that they (the Bills) are 4-and-27 in the last fifteen years," Sabuda said during WBFO's Beyond the Playbook.

Injuries will keep wide receiver Julian Edelman and running back Dion Lewis out of the lineup. Both enjoyed big games when the Patriots handled the Bills earlier this season. Additionally, three starting offensive linemen have been hampered by injuries.

That could give an edge to the Buffalo defense.

"If there was ever a week for them to have an opportunity, particularly the defensive line, this might be it," said Sabuda, who added a key note.

"The Bills have yielded 100-yard rushers in all of their last four games. The last thing they want to do is somehow play well against Brady but forget about the run game."
