Star basketball player no longer at UB following theft

ubbulls.com

Justin Moss, the University at Buffalo basketball player who help lead the program to its first men's NCAA tournament bid last spring, is no longer a student at the university.

UB issued a statement Monday saying Moss is not currently enrolled in classes, nor is he participating in university activities. UB will offer no further details because of federal privacy laws protecting student records.

Moss and two other students, Raheem Johnson and Mory Diane, were found stealing money from the dorm room of two other students in June on the Amherst Campus. Johnson and Diane remain on the team and are enrolled, according to the school.

Moss was already on school probation for another offense and was removed from the team. He was last season's Mid-American Conference player of the year in a junior season in which he averaged 17.5 points and 9.2 rebounds.

Mark Wozniak, WBFO's local All Things Considered host, has been at WBFO since mid-1978.
