Choosing between staying home and going out to watch the Super Bowl can be a tough choice, but Buffalo’s (716) Food and Sport gave fans the best of both worlds on Sunday night.

Vice President of Food and Beverage, Dominic Verni, says that as part of its Ultimate Fan Destination Series, the restaurant provided some special home-style touches to go along with their 38-foot screen.

“We’re having Doritos for example, or bison chip dip at the table.  It makes you feel like you’re on your own couch. And with that we actually did bring in a half a dozen or so couches along the glass so we’ve got some pretty special seats,” said Verni.

Verni says the restaurant was sold out for reservations, with over 350 guests. Chefs offered a special menu of Seattle and New England-themed foods, and fans received special give-away prizes from One Buffalo, the Buffalo Sabres, and the Buffalo Bills. Fans also had the unique opportunity to purchase special edition Super Bowl champion hats designed by Buffalo-based New Era cap.

Avery began his broadcasting career as a disc jockey for WRUB, the University at Buffalo’s student-run radio station.
