Early voting for next week's presidential and state primaries, as well as for the a special election in the 27th congressional district, continues through Sunday.
Since the polls first opened for early voting last Saturday, some 2,300 people have cast their ballots at the various polling sites in Erie County. Thursday, according to the Board of Elections, 284 people voted.
Polls are open Friday from noon to 9 p.m. and from noon-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
It appears many people will vote by mail. More than 100,000 voters have applied for absentee ballots for Tuesday's primaries.
