Betsy Constantine has been named the new President and CEO of the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo.

There will be a change at the top of the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo at the end of the year.

President and CEO Clotilde Perez-Bode Dedecker is retiring. The Foundation has announced that executive vice president Betsy Constantine will become president and CEO effective Jan. 1, 2023.

Dedecker has been at the helm of the Foundation since 2005, overseeing efforts to fix systemic issues in the community, among public, private, nonprofit and government partners.

In the 17 years since then, the Community Foundation assets have grown from $135 million to $850 million. Partnerships created under Dedecker's leadership include Say Yes Buffalo, the Greater Buffalo Racial Equity Roundtable and the Western New York Impact Investment Fund.

Constantine has been with the Foundation since 2009 in various roles, including executive vice president since 2017. Both women are also involved in national and international organizations involved with community building.
