Niagara Falls residents are being asked to weigh in with their recommendation for making their city more bicycle friendly.
GObike Buffalo is working with Falls officials to get public input. There is an online survey asking 25 questions. A public meeting is planned sometime in 2019.
GObike Executive Director Justin Booth says they learned many things while developing a plan for the city of Buffalo where there was investment in new infrastructure.
"What's exciting about Niagara Falls is that they are removing the Robert Moses Expressway. So, how do we connect various neighborhoods adjacent to that in Niagara Falls with what will be one of the most beautiful linear parks in the world," Booth said.
Booth says city officials are working with the bike-sharing service Reddy Bikeshare to determine what neighborhoods in the Falls would be ideal for bike-sharing hubs. Reddy Bikeshare, sponsored by Independent Health, is already available throughout much of Buffalo.
