In the main terminal Thursday, Frontier's director of network scheduling, Bob Westgate said, non-stop flights to Austin, Texas and Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina will begin in April. Introductory fares start as low as $29 each way.

"I think you're going to realize some significant savings by having the 'Low Fares Done Right' service in those two markets. You'll certainly see much better value for your money, certainly on the days that we fly," Westgate said.

The airline began servicing Buffalo in December with nonstop flights to Fort Myers, Miami, Orlando, and Tampa. And Westgate says they've been attracting passengers from across Western New York and Southern Ontario.

"It's been a really great response to our service. We've been very happy with it. We're running consistently high loads on all four markets. Doing very well. And that's what kind of caused us to look further and identify Austin, Texas and then Raleigh-Durham as our two more points that make a lot of sense to fly from here," Westgate said.

Frontier plans to begin flights to Denver soon.
