Buffalo mayor Byron Brown will be inaugurated to his fourth term in office during a celebration tonight. Festivities will be held at the Hotel Lafayette. Brown will take his oath at 8:30. He is the city's 58th mayor, having first been elected in 2005, and he is the first African-American to be elected to lead the city. At the completion of this fourth term, Brown will pass Anthony Masiello to join Jimmy Griffin as the longest serving mayors in city history.
Rumors have circulated that Brown could be considering a future run for a higher office.
