A new multi-purpose arts campus is under construction on Buffalo's West Side. It will be housed in the former Richmond Avenue Methodist-Episcopal Church and two adjacent building along West Ferry.
Owner and co-developer Rachel Heckl says a lot of ingenuity is embedded within the historic church.
"And our team's goal is really to celebrate that. And to also just create efficiencies with every aspect of design. So, instead of taking anything away, we're really just adding more to the space. And I think that that's one of the main goals of like the entire campus. It's an add value to the neighborhood."
Along with a 500 seat performing arts space - plans include a business incubator, residential apartments, and an art gallery. It's expected to open by fall of 2017.
