The music director for the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra will be inducted in the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
JoAnn Falletta who is also director for the Virginia Symphony, will receive this honor in Cambridge, Massachusetts in October. The academy is full of people who have made contributions to academy publications and studies of science and technology policy, energy and global security, social policy, as well as the humanities, arts, and education.
Falletta is one of 213 people to be inducted in the 236-year-old honor society this year.
