Man dies after fall from restaurant balcony

A Daemen College student died late Friday night after falling from a balcony at the Pearl Street Grill and Brewery.

In a statement released Saturday morning by Daemen officials, the victim was identified as 24-year-old Thomas Krickovich of Lancaster. He was a graduate student in the college's physicians assistant studies program.

Buffalo Police spokesman Mike DeGeorge said the victim was taken to Buffalo General Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. He said detectives are investigating if the man accidentally fell. The Daemen statement said police do not suspect foul play.

The college is providing grief counseling to those affected by the death.
