As the Holidays approach, the season can prove stressful for many people. This is especially the case in homes where individuals with disabilities reside. Thursday night in Cattaraugus County, Parent Network Western New York will host a workshop that addresses holiday behavior and anxiety.
"How do we help parents manage this time which could be difficult for themselves and the children?" said Parent Network trainer Joe Clem. "As we look to the nature of anxiety, we realize that anxiety exists. The Holidays are going to bring stress and tension."
Clem, who told WBFO he comes from a positive psychology standpoint, will offer some pointers and strategies to turn negative situations into positive responses and reduced holiday stress.
The workshop will be held at Pioneer Central High School, 12145 Countyline Road in the Town of Yorkshire, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. tomorrow night (November 19).
