It was just like "Dancing with the Stars" at Statler City Friday night. Suneel's Light Foundation held its third annual fund-raising gala that features local celebrities in a dance competition.

Money raised from the event is used to pay for research of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.  Even though there is no cure for the genetic disease, it can be treated. The foundation is named after Suneel Ram, a senior at St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute.

Gala co-chair David Smith says they're still tallying up the final total.

"I know we've raised thousands online. We had at least $5,000 or $6,000 there, with many thousands more here. It's great," said Smith.
