The Buffalo Common Council has adopted a resolution urging greater accessibility to medical marijuana. Governor Cuomo legalized its use in New York in 2014, but the bill allows for only 20 dispensaries across the state. The resolution calls for expedited implementation of the Compassionate Care Act and for more dispensaries.

For many who qualify for medical marijuana travel is difficult, if not impossible.
