New York Senator Charles Schumer is urging that new restrictions be placed on manufacturers of e-cigarettes. The Senator is urging the adoption of regulations against flavors that appeal to children, such as gummy bear, chocolate and bubble gum. The restrictions have been proposed by the Food and Drug Administration, and Schumer wants to avoid further delay in their implementation.
He notes that tobacco use is down among teens, but e-cigarette use is on the rise.
