The Just Buffalo Literary Center has announced its lineup of authors for the coming Babel season. The Babel series has grown tremendously over the years, drawing large crowds to Kleinhans Music Hall to listen to readings and discussions with some of the worlds most prominent and promising authors. Just Buffalo's Artistic Director, Barbara Cole, says that Buffalo is a perfect place for something as intellectually stimulating as the Babel series.

"We have so many writers in the community, but we also have so many book lovers and dedicated readers, and I think what's so unique about the Babel series is that it's one of the only literary series in the country. It focuses on literary books not just top best-sellers, but oftentimes difficult and challenging texts, texts which really make us think about the work we're living in."

This season's lineup will include poet, novelist and playwright Claudia Rankine, novelist Dinaw Mengestu, novelist Louise Erdrich and newly recognized sensation Karl Ove Knausgard. The series begins on October 23rd.
