UB Bulls take on West Virginia: Insider look at Hurley's fast track to the NCAA

Courtesy of Paul Gotham Twitter Feed

As the University at Buffalo is gearing up for the Bulls first game of the NCAA Tournament Friday, many are looking to Head Coach Bobby Hurley to show the Bulls the way to victory.

The number 12 seed Bulls take on the fifth seed West Virginia Friday afternoon at 2:10.

Basketball Writer Paul Gotham of PickinSplinters.com says the Bulls were pegged to finish third in the East

Division of the Mid-American Conference this year after losing a key player, but Hurley was able to develop other members of the Bulls to step in and step up to win the MAC Championship and move on to March Madness.

Gotham says the similarities between the Bulls and West Virginia are striking, so the game should make for an interesting comparison.

Still, Gotham says, he is picking UB for the win.
