A majority of Erie County voters do support building a new stadium for the Buffalo Bills, but it is a slim majority. A recently conducted Siena poll shows that 54 percent of county voters support the construction of a new football stadium. The Buffalo News and WGRZ-TV sponsored the poll, which surveyed more than 500 people. A downtown location for the new structure also got 55 percent of the votes.
The strongest support for both a new stadium and a downtown location came from voters aged 55 and younger.
