A Clarence family has filed a civil lawsuit after video evidence revealed abuse by a bus driver against their disabled daughter. Maddy Law is a 13-year-old who has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy. WIVB is reporting that security tapes show bus driver Beverlee Richards both physically and verbally abusing Law in 2013 while transporting her to school. Richards is named in the lawsuit, as are the Clarence Central School District and the Clarence Center Elementary School.

Richards has been allowed to retire from her job.
