SBA Disaster Loan Assistance Centers in West Seneca and Attica

Cheryl Hagen/WBFO

The Small Business Administration is opening two local offices this month to help Western New Yorkers who sustained property damage during the November storm apply for disaster loan assistance.

Western New Yorkers who may have had homes, personal property - even cars - damaged during the November storm are eligible to apply for disaster loan assistance at Disaster Loan Outreach Centers in West Seneca and Attica. Businesses and non-profit organizations are also eligible.

Small Business Administration Public Affairs Specialist Ray Harbour says the centers will provide one on one support. She says homeowners will need identification and proof of storm damage to apply for a loan while businesses require a little more paperwork.

Harbour says the loans offer rates as low as 1.938% for homeowners and renters and 4% for businesses with terms up to 30 years.

Homeowners are eligible for loans of up to $200,000 for real estate and up to $40,000 for personal property. Businesses and non-profit groups may borrow up to $2-million. The money must be used to replace or repair property damaged in the storm.

The West Seneca center will be located at the town ice rink at 1250 Union Road and offers the following hours for assistance:

Wednesday, January 7th - Friday, January 9th: 9am-6pm

Saturday, January 10th: 9am-1pm

Sunday, January 11th: closed

Monday, January 12th: 9am-6pm

Tuesday, January 13th: 9am-5pm (The final day the West Seneca center will be open.)

The Attica center will be located at the town of Bennington Offices at 905 Old Alleghany Road in Attica and offer the following hours:

Wednesday, January 14th: 12pm-6pm

Thursday, January 15th: 9am-4pm (The final day the Attica center will be open.)
