McCarthy sees some Election Day surprises

A tight race is winding down in the 143rd Assembly District where two candidates are vying for the seat once held by Dennis Gabryszak. Buffalo News Political Reporter Bob McCarthy says Republicans are feeling confident in a district that has been a Democratic stronghold for many years.

Newcomer Republican Angela Wozniak appears to be gaining traction in her race against Democrat Mark Mazurek. In his weekly conversation on WBFO, Buffalo News Political Reporter notes how the district has been a source of political power for the Democratic Party. Dennis Gorski and Paul Tokasz each held the seat as they embarked on long, successful political careers.

McCarthy also explains the latest political maneuvers involving the Erie County Board of Elections, and he shares some thoughts on last week's gubernatorial debate at WNED/WBFO.
