A costly Williamsville house fire is being blamed on an unattended candle. Alarms sounded after 8 PM last night, bringing firefighters to a house on Creek Road in Amherst. A candle burning inside a plastic pumpkin ignited nearby curtains, and the flames spread to other contents in the house.
Damage estimates are valued at more than $20,000.
