The New York State Acting Commissioner of Health, Dr. Howard Zucker, has issued a directive regarding the handling of Ebola cases in the state. The Commissioner's Order covers personnel at hospitals and treatment facilities, EMS workers along with funeral home directors and employees. The purpose of the directive is to establish clear lines of communication between agencies and to set protocols for the handling of Ebola patients.

The Order provides a window of 10 days for all covered personnel to come under compliance.
