Officials at Tonawanda Coke are offering details of the Friday explosion which reportedly rocked much of the area surrounding the facility.
In a statement released Wednesday, the company says a frozen gas line and a frozen air line combined to cause the explosion which occurred around 11:50 am on Friday.
The statement claimed no workers were injured in the incident. The ensuing fire was extinguished in 12 minutes, though no volunteer fire companies were allowed on site.
OSHA is reportedly planning to review the incident.
