Hit-and-Run accident snares Police Chief

The police chief in Lackawanna is facing a potential lawsuit due to his involvement in an injury hit-and-run accident. Chief James Michel was responding to a bank robbery call in an unmarked SUV when he struck another SUV at an intersection along Ridge Road. That second truck then hit another vehicle. Michel claims that damage to his vehicle was minor. One occupant in the second vehicle claims to have suffered significant injuries.

A Notice of Claim has been filed with the City of Lackawanna regarding the potential lawsuit.
