Miller named to U.S. Olympic team

WBFO File Photo

Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller has been named as one of the three goalies on the 2014 U.S. Men's Olympic Hockey Team.

Miller was the MVP of the 2010 Olympic Tournament in Vancouver when he led the United States to a silver medal.

However, it's unclear if Miller will be the team's starter when the Olympics open next month in Russia. Jonathan Quick of the Los Angeles Kings and Jimmy Howard of the Detroit Red Wings are also on the roster.

Two Western New York natives will join Miller on the team. Buffalo's Patrick Kane of the Chicago Blackhawks and East Amherst's Brooks Orpik of the Pittsburgh Penguins are also on the squad that will play for the gold in Russia next month.
