Authorities are reporting that a student at the State University of New York at Fredonia has died this morning. Thomas Dean, a 21-year-old senior from Newfane collapsed in his dorm room while he was engaged in playing video games with a friend. There is no indication of a cause of death, and an autopsy has been scheduled. Foul play is not suspected.
School President Virginia Schaefer Horvath has states that the school is providing counseling services for students and staff.
Dean was an English major and was involved in a number of campus activities.
