Rescue crews attended to a woman who fell into the gorge at Akron Falls Park on Friday. The Erie County Sheriff's Office reports that a 46-year-old Niagara Falls woman was seated on a stone wall and fell backward, dropping 75 feet into the gorge. The Akron Fire Department Rescue Crew was able to lift the woman to a waiting ambulance. She reportedly suffered multiple injuries.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
