Rescue crews were called to aid a group of hikers in the Niagara Gorge on Saturday afternoon. Niagara Parks Police dispatched their High Angle River Team and were joined by the Niagara Falls Fire Department in assisting the hikers. Emergency personnel were able to direct the hikers to trails along the lower gorge that led to their safety. The hiking group included three adults, two children and a dog. No injuries were reported.
Parks personnel advise hikers to be well prepared for their venture before entering the gorge.
