Some happy reunions took place early Wednesday morning as 37 soldiers returned to Buffalo following deployment in the Middle East. After a year overseas, the New York Army National Guard's 27th Brigade Special Troops Battalion was welcomed back at a pre-dawn ceremony at the Connecticut Street Armory.
Most of the personnel had been deployed in Kuwait, focusing on logistics in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
