Shot fired by officer likely killed driver

WBFO File Photo

An investigation by Buffalo Police is indicating that a bullet fired by a Housing officer killed Issac Parker during a traffic stop Thursday night.

The officers stopped Parker for a traffic violation and suspicions that he was intoxicated. Parker sped off, dragging an officer who fired a single shot. Parker's car then careened into series of light poles, one of which fell and killed a bystander.

The Housing officers are on administrative leave while a departmental internal investigation continues.
