Hurricane Sandy has forced the cancelation of the New York City Marathon much to the disappointment of runner around the world. A local distance runner who intended to be a participant in New York's race has taken that disappointment and turned it into an opportunity.

Julia Burke will be running the equivalent of a marathon at Delaware Park on Sunday morning. The 26-year-old Burke is donating the money that she would have spent to be in New York to the Red Cross. WBFO's Chris Jamele visited with Burke and asked her how long it has taken her to prepare for such a grueling endeavor.

Saturday & Sunday 6 a.m. to 12 p.m.
