Naval vessels from the U.S. and Canada are set to drop anchor at Buffalo for the Navy Week.
More than a dozen military ships from both nations, a U.S. Coast Guard cutter and several historic tall ships are expected to participate in the weeklong event, which starts Monday and runs through September 17.
Ship tours, music, a boat parade and special ceremonies are among the activities being offered at the Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park and other locations in the region.
The event will also commemorate the 200th anniversary of the start of the War of 1812.
Buffalo is the sixth and final U.S. port in the Great Lakes region to host War of 1812 bicentennial events this summer.
