Commercial traffic on the New York State Thruway could soon be paying higher tolls.
Governor Andrew Cuomo hinted on Friday that a rate hike of 45 percent should be considered for large trucks using the highway. The governor claimed that the increase was needed to keep the Thruway solvent. Lawmakers across the state are questioning the rate hike.
Tolls on the Thruway have been raised in four of the past seven years.
