Bloomberg Businessweek is out with its annual ranking of Best Business Schools 2016 in the United States. The only local school to make the list of 87 is the University at Buffalo - up from 60 in 2015 to 47 this year. The ranking of full-time U.S. MBA programs is based upon data Bloomberg compiled from more than 1,000 recruiters, 15,000 alumni and 9,000 recent graduates.
Harvard was the clear number 1 MBA school in the United States, followed by Stanford University, then Duke University. Rochester's Simon Business School grabbed the number 30 spot.
Bloomberg reports more graduate degrees in business are awarded annually than in any other field in the United States and new business schools are accredited by the dozen every year. The average debt for new graduates is $53,000. The list is published annually to help prospective students choose wisely.
