Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case has revoked release for a Buffalo teen facing numerous felony and misdemeanor charges involving stolen vehicles since New Year's Eve.
The Erie County District Attorney's Office requested that Kahill Reeves, 18, be held without bail because of the multiple accusations, from Dec. 31, Jan. 11, Jan. 12, Jan. 20, Feb. 1 in Tonawanda and Feb. 7, Feb. 17 and Feb. 21 in Amherst, when Reeves led Amherst police on a chase into Niagara County.
Police agencies there took over the chase and Reeves was finally arrested in Lewiston.
The DA said Reeves was one of the first participants in its Restorative Justice program for eligible adolescent offenders pending prosecution in Youth Part court.
He had been arraigned on some of the earlier charges, but released because they were non-qualifying for bail. The DA said Reeves also failed to appear for a felony hearing on Feb. 3 and in Tonawanda on Feb. 28, since he was then in custody in Niagara County.
Reeves is next due in Buffalo City Court March 14 for a felony hearing on the first four arrests in Buffalo.
