Bailey Boys Gang member pleads guilty to 2012 murder

The U.S. Attorney's Office says a member of Buffalo's Bailey Boys Gang has pleaded guilty to a 2012 murder.

Raymel Weeden, 25, of Buffalo pleaded guilty in the robbery and fatal shooting of Fred Rozier in February 2012.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Felicetta said Weeden and another Bailey Boys Gang member, Rayshod Washington, attempted to rob Rozier of drugs and money. When Rozier resisted, he was killed. Washington was previously convicted.

Felicetta said the Bailey Boys Gang is a violent criminal gang that operates in Buffalo around Winspear Avenue, the Kensington Expressway, Eggert Road and Main Street.

Weeden now faces a mandatory minimum penalty of 10 years in prison, a maximum penalty of life and a $250,000 fine when sentenced in October.
