Authorities say a Niagara Falls woman is due back in court after threatening "to blow up" Niagara Charter School in Niagara Falls.
The Niagara County Sheriff says 28-year-old Chaqua Bembo was upset during a phone call with an administrator at the school, where her child attends, when she made the threat.
The school initiated a "hold in place" policy for students and staff, while K-9 officers from the Sheriff's Office and Transit Police did a thorough search of the school. Nothing suspicious was found.
Bembo was arraigned on a charge of falsely reporting an incident in the first degree before by Lewiston Justice Thomas Sheeran and released on her own recognizance. She has a return court date of November 10.
