Two hospitalized in what BPD call gang-related shooting

An 11-year-old boy is in very serious condition and a 20-year-old man is in critical condition at Erie County Medical Center after being shot in the first block of Humason Avenue last night.

Buffalo Police say details are still sketchy, but the 20-year-old was apparently the target of the attack near the Cheektowaga border. Police are calling it a gang-related shooting.

At a news conference last night, Mayor Byron Brown said the city is allocating all of its resources to find the shooter or shooters responsible. Anyone with information is asked to call the BPD confidential tip line at 847-2255.
