Gold Wynn buys 18 area Kissling properties

Gold Wynn already owns 1165 Delaware Ave. in Buffalo.

Hundreds of apartment holders in the region have a new landlord today.

Gold Wynn Residential has acquired the Kissling Interests LLC 18 area properties, with those 841 apartments and 85,000 square feet of commercial space.

Gold Wynn already owns and manages seven city properties, including a residential building at 1165 Delaware Ave. and the former Buffalo Athletic Club building at 69 Delaware Ave. It also has holdings in Tulsa and Los Angeles. Combined, the family-run business owns more than 4,500 units and 3 million square feet of commercial space, a home and condominium building division and a fitness chain, according to its website.

Kissling employees will join the Gold Wynn corporation, with a combined staff of about 50 people. Gold Wynn has also announced it plans to spend $5 million to improve its holdings over the next few years.
