The Aquarium of Niagara has received an early holiday gift: a new rescued seal named Lumiere.
He is a rescued harbor seal from the Pacific Marine Mammal Center in Laguna Beach, CA, where he was found dehydrated and malnourished at just 1 month old.
After months of rehabilitation, Lumiere still didn't forage or eat fish easily. So it was determined he was non-releasable into the wild.
Lumiere is currently on exhibit in Rescue Harbor with the Aquarium's other rescued seals.
