Not all learning takes place in a classroom especially when it comes to dance lessons. While on the "Education Beat", WBFO's senior reporter Eileen Buckley explores a traveling tango school where lessons often come directly to the public.
Travis Widrick calls himself a former "farm boy" who grew up on an Upstate dairy farm in Upstate playing sports with no dance experience, but by college that started to change.
Widrick now runs the Travis Widrick Argentine Tango School of Buffalowith his wife Tiniko. They recently married. She's a native of the Republic of Georgia, but moved to Canada. They met in Toronto at a tango event.
You can check out a beginners Tango Class next Thursday night, November 10th, as the Tango School holds an open house at the Foundry on Elmwood in Buffalo.
