BPO & Cirque Musica featuring the Wallendas

A most unusual Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra concert will be staged this Saturday, for one show only, at Kleinhans Music Hall. The BPO is teaming up with Cirque Musica. Among the cast performing are two members of the famed Wallenda family. WBFO's Eileen Buckley talked with Lyric Wallenda, the cousin of daredevil Nik Wallenda, about the circus artisans performing with live BPO music below.

Having the name Lyric -- it's a perfect fit for performing to music -- Lyric Wallenda says this show blends the symphony and traditional circus worlds together for one majestic -- breathtaking show combining acrobats and  stunts to orchestra music.

Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto performed by violinist Veronica Gan, who performs it suspended from the ceiling.

Lyric Wallenda performs this Saturday night with Cirque Musica and the BPO at 8 p.m.
