Kodak To Stop Making Digital Cameras

STEVE INSKEEP, HOST:

And today's last word in business comes from Kodak, which yesterday said it will no longer make digital cameras - Kodak, not making cameras anymore. To be clear, Kodak is not dead. It has filed for bankruptcy protection, which means it's reorganizing its finances to try to become profitable again. Making and selling cameras is apparently not the way to do that anymore, so it will phase out its line of digital cameras and will focus instead on home photo printers, high-speed commercial ink jet presses and software.

That's the business news on MORNING EDITION, from NPR News. I'm Steve Inskeep. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
