Local striking Verizon workers send message to corporate

Buffalo, NY – Hundreds of striking Verizon workers rallied outside the headquarters on Franklin Street in downtown Buffalo during the noon hour Wednesday.

45,000 Verizon workers walked off the job nation-wide over the weekend when their contract expire. A total of 1,500 local Verizon workers are effected by the strike.

WBFO's Eileen Buckley says the employees wanted the corporate offices to hear their plea for a fair contract deal.
