Debating Parent Trigger law for city schools

Buffalo, NY – Buffalo lawmakers heard both sides in the debate over a parent trigger law during a Common Council Education committee meeting Wednesday at City Hall.

The law provides parents the power to force a turnaround at low-performing schools in a district.

WBFO'S Eileen Buckley says advocates believes parents need this power to help the District turnaround persistently low performing city schools.
