Cucumbers pulled for fear of contamination

By Chris Jamele

Buffalo, NY – Thousands of cucumbers are being pulled from grocers' shelves.

Tests have indicated that some cukes harvested in Florida could be contaminated with Salmonella. The North Carolina company, L&M Companies, Inc., claims that no instances of illness have been reported in connection with the cucumbers.

The vegetables were shipped under the Nature's Delight label and carry lot number PL-RID-002990. Some of the tainted cucumbers may have been shipped to New York State.
